Therefore, forgings are required not only to have high dimensional accuracy, but also to have excellent characteristics and high stability of materials. Titanium alloy is difficult to forge and easy to crack. Therefore, it is important to properly control the forging temperature and plastic deformation in the production of titanium alloy forgings.

1. Aerospace field

50% of the world's titanium materials are used in the aerospace field. 30% of the airframe of military aircraft uses titanium alloy, and the amount of titanium used in civil aircraft is also gradually increasing. In the aerospace field, titanium alloy forgings are used in fuel tanks of rocket and satellite propulsion engines, attitude control engine casings, blades of liquid fuel turbine pumps and inlet sections of suction pumps.

2. Turbine blades for power generation

Increasing blade length of steam turbine in thermal power generation is an effective measure to improve power generation efficiency, but blade lengthening will increase rotor load.

2、 Neck butt welding, neck flat welding, socket welding and threaded flanges are generally made by forging or forging process. When steel plate or section steel is used for manufacturing, the following requirements must be met:

1. The steel plate shall be subject to ultrasonic flaw detection without delamination defect;

2. It shall be cut into strips along the rolling direction of the steel, bent and butt welded into a ring, and the surface of the steel shall form a cylindrical surface of the ring. The steel plate shall not be directly machined into the neck flange;

3. The butt weld of the ring shall be full penetration weld;

4. The butt weld of the ring shall be subject to post weld heat treatment and 100% radiographic or ultrasonic inspection, and the radiographic inspection shall meet the requirements of JB4730 Level II, and the ultrasonic inspection shall meet the requirements of

Level I requirements of JB4730.

3、 The outer slope of neck of neck of slip on flange, socket welding flange and threaded flange shall not be greater than 7.
