Medical titanium wire When exposed to the atmosphere or aqueous solution, a new oxide film will be automatically generated immediately. For example, the thickness of the oxide film in the atmosphere at room temperature is 1.2~1.6nm, and it will thicken with time. It will naturally thicken to 5nm after 70 days, and gradually increase to 8~9nm after 545 days. Artificial enhanced oxidation conditions (such as heating, using oxidants or anodic oxidation) can accelerate the growth of surface oxide film and obtain thicker oxide film, thus improving the corrosion resistance of titanium. Therefore, the oxide film formed by anodic oxidation and thermal oxidation will significantly improve the corrosion resistance of titanium. Now customers of titanium rod processing manufacturers have made many similar products with our titanium rod and titanium wire, which shows that this is a feasible way.

 Medical titanium wire

The oxide film of titanium (including thermal oxide film or anodic oxide film) is usually not a single structure, and the composition and structure of its oxide change with the formation conditions. In general, the interface between the oxide film and the environment may be TiO2, while the interface between the oxide film and the metal may be dominated by TiO2. That is to say, in general, TiO2 is on the surface of the titanium rod we produce, and TiO2 is on the interface between the metal and the oxide film. Of course, titanium wire, titanium plate and titanium forging are the same. The surface of titanium alloy bar is more complex. However, no matter it is pure titanium rod, titanium alloy rod or titanium alloy wire, there are transition layers with different valence states in the middle, even non chemical equivalent oxides, which indicates that the oxide film of titanium material has a multi-layer structure. The formation process of this oxide film cannot be simply understood as the direct reaction of titanium with oxygen (or oxygen in air). Many researchers have proposed various mechanisms. Workers in the former Soviet Union believed that hydride was first generated, and then a passive oxide film was formed on the hydride.
